recommended for those seeking relief of chronic pain
Deep tissue massage addresses chronic aches and pain in contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. At the beginning of the massage, lighter pressure is generally applied to warm up and prep the muscles. Specific techniques are then applied focusing pressure on deep layers of the muscles, tendons, and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). Your therapist will apply firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). Deep tissue massage addresses chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Let your therapist know about any medical conditions, or anything you feel is important to the session, and feel free to ask questions.
Speak up if you would like more pressure or if you would like less pressure.
